MDSC provides information, networking opportunities, and advocacy for individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Today, the MDSC offers a broad array of programs to serve people with Down syndrome and their families throughout the state, including: our signature Parents First Call Program, a volunteer, state-wide group of trained parent mentors available 24/7 that is a national model; two major annual conferences that draw national and international experts in their fields; a Buddy Walk® Program that includes 3 Buddy Walks throughout the state; public awareness initiatives like our Your Next Star campaign, which is opening the eyes of employers to the value of employees with Down syndrome; and Self-Advocate Programs like Advocates in Motion, our Self-Advocate Advisory Council, and our Allen Crocker Self Advocate Internship, all of which provide opportunities for teens and adults with Down syndrome while making empowerment a central component.

When State Representative Tom Sannicandro, a longtime MDSC member and legislative champion, resigned in 2016 his departure left a void for the entire disability community. However, we could never have imagined our great fortune when a young, new legislator was elected to that seat - a man who would prove to be as relentlessly supportive of the MDSC and as dedicated to the rights of people with ...

I watch this whenever i feel down
The fact that the person is pleading for a life of dignity shows how society has to change to embrace them with respect❤
@StevenCrowder
Id rather hang out with this dude then most people. All we are doing through science is what hitler tried to do and was known to be evil... We just let evil in another way... We try to be god without the wisdom the perfection is in the imperfection.
Whats rule number one?
Wow
Too many chromosomes in one room
Bros speach was 2 paragraphs long, shit took him 10 minutes to read 😭
Both of you grow the fuck
❤
Even I stood up and clapped
genuinely inspirational
What the he'll has happened to our world where he has to justify the existence of people with down syndrome!!!
Shia should of won something for this
Wow 😃
Wow that was moving
Very well said!!
What a role model. He needs way more support and recognition he deserves it.
if you aren't down with Zack you are not welcome to my birthday party.
And you won't get any of my birthday wishes too
haha you said "down"
I bet he does have a good life……
My name Melissa golby 11,2992 happy birthday Melissa 30th April 🎈 🎊 🥳 💖 💕
We are a gift!!! And a powerful source of happiness ❤ people with down syndrome ate happier than society at large ❤❤❤
Thanks for including this!
Beautiful speech! I have been looking into Down syndrome more because for the first time I had a thorough anatomy screen during pregnancy and was told there was a ‘soft marker’ for Down syndrome. Then the doctor told me I could get blood work to further test. I was aggravated by this, I didn’t ask to know if my unborn baby had inconclusive signs of Down syndrome or not. They made it seem like something negative if my baby had a possibility of Down syndrome, even if it was subtle suggestion.
Even with his Down syndrome he sounds smarter then 99% of todays youth
Please try again with your guys???????
💪✊🤟👍
God nerfed him because he would’ve been wayyyyy too OP
Oh this can be done sitting on a stool or no arm chair.. awesome! Minus jumping of course lol

This man is one of the greatest examples of what us humans are here to do. Which is to fight for what's right. Everything he said was an incredibly valid point and I didn't even know we could use down syndrome to study so many horrible things until now. These people are happier than any of us and make the ones around them happy why do people hate them. I mean most of them got more humanity in themselves than most of us so why are they bad.
My son and I had the honor of hearing this performance and meeting Ricardo. Such a lovely family. Continued blessings for Ricardo and bless the memory of his father Cesar.
Thank you- brilliant and true!
Syndrome is up
As a learning disabled kid that was hard of hearing I was told by my teachers that i was not worth the accomadation. And still have this told to me at 47 yrs old by current government staff. In british columbia
What an intelligent guy! Funny too! This man shows good leadership skills! Hed make an excellent ambassador!
Ig comments will be the complete opposite of this one 😂
I've seen it all now
LOL
0:25 Why I think Firmly we could Explain how to Cure Cancer to all 21 Trisomy People while it would be almost Impossible or "Tendentious", Verting Towards Terrorism almost, to explaining it to any Professional Academic Patented Mad Scientist..? [Due Excessive Stigmatized Anti-Scientific Misbeliefs] How you cannot see they are Deprived from Intrinsic Hate, they don't have Any sign of Native Sadism, they don't Study how to Destroying Human Brain, they don't Sponsor Dengerous Pharmaceutical Drugs.. [This 4:05 true By the way] I think NIH could benefit by 'Using' High Level Defense Researchers to Explaining a Huge Group of 21 Chromosome People to Produce Peptides and Immunomodulatory Substances with Already Developed Biotechnology... [That also Top Level Scientists should have Learnt from Someone Else] ...So to Prove the World that Even with Simpler Thoughts whe can Achieve Great Things... Without Taking Out Nothing from the Highest Form Of Consciousness but at the same Time providing evidence that Academic Overthinking was leading the World over an Inhumane Path.. Compared to A Genetic Mutation which doesn't Impair The Possibility to be Humane: Stupidity is not an 'Increased Complexity of Thoughts' only because everyone can understand It.. Madness is not an 'Higher Form of Intelligence' just because no one can Understand it... Intelligence for what it is, should be able to be Understood from Everyone. ..and Everyone should benefit from it... There is no Criminal Intelligence. There is no way of Counteracting True Intelligence without being Harmful to the Wholesome Human Society. Give this People a Chance and Remember you were given An Infinite amount of Chances...and with all of those Billions, with all of those Peerage with your Esteemed Colleagues: You Never Were Able to Accomplishing Anything Positive For yourself and the World by your own Selves... Who Is Handicapped Here...‽ We are just your Silenced Victims.
I watched it, i cried so SO! much 😲✅😳 just dont send people with down syndrom around this city or i will tell, i may be retarded but i have not down syndrom, capisch? cried a lot when i watched this
Smartest guy in the room.
Love you bro!
Preach my young dude!!!!
This is what Shane Gilis meant when he said guys with Down Syndrome are "The Bros" Such a powerful speech by this young man
Abortion should be unthinkable
Gravity looks too heavy for the woman in grey
He look normal in here
If my wife was pregnant with a down syndrome baby we would abort right away, you lose your life when you have special needs children.
It's murder. The child would be better than you for sure .
Most people commenting aren't even aware that this is PR for anti-abortion activists. As long as they get warm fuzzy feelings inside, eh.
My uncle disowned his son because he had Down syndrome, I didn’t know this until I was an adult. I can’t have children and would absolutely want a child no matter who they may be.
Nostalgia is in affect 😢😢😢
